THJFC’s New Sponsor Bespoke Windows
January 17, 2024
We are delighted to reveal our new branded match kit and sponsor Bespoke Windows.
The teams were very excited with their brand new strip and it was smiles all round as they showed them off at our club photoshoot.
Grassroots football relies and thrives on the support of local businesses and Tulse Hill JFC is no different.
Our sponsor Bespoke Windows said: “I see Tulse Hill Junior FC as a gem in our local community. This partnership is… a shared commitment to the growth and wellbeing of children in our community, giving them the tools to succeed, both in sports and in life.”
Thank you Bespoke Windows from everyone at THJFC
New Club Chairs
June 18th June 2023
We're delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Davies and Amelia Torode as new co-chairs of THJFC. Both passionate supporters of grassroots football and parents of club players, Mark and Amelia will be focused on building the club, widening access to ensure that more children across South London have the opportunity to play competitive football in a supportive and empowering environment.
"As the club approaches it's 60th anniversary next year, it is an honour to be working alongside our brilliant team of Coaches to help take the club to new heights. We're proud of the friendly, family environment of the club where we try to welcome as many children as we possibly can and ensure that we can deliver football for all."

Tulse Hill Juniors Win Prestigious "Girls into Football Trust" (gift) Award
August 25, 2021
THJCF are the proud winners of a major footballing award to help expand their girls football program. As South London’s original and oldest youth football club, we have always believed football should be for all. This generous GIFT allows us to do just that by starting up a new girls Under 9 squad. We’ve previously had to turn away girls but with this money in place we can provide kits, coaching and equipment – we can’t wait for the season to begin!
THJFC Chair, Ruth Heppinstall says:
“Our club feels like a family – welcoming and open to all, but without proper funding often our hopes for the club don’t turn into reality. This GIFT allows us to lay the foundation to open up girls football to more across South East London.”
Jim Peacock, Club Secretary:
“This GIFT enables us to invest in the girls who have wanted to join THJFC but we have simply not had the infrastructure in place to deliver our usual standard of high-quality coaching and support. Girls football is gaining in popularity around the country and South London is in desperate need for more teams for girls to play for. We’re delighted to be able to use this GIFT to launch our new Under 9 girls squad.”
League Sportsmanship Award Winners
July 20, 2021
We have just received the fabulous news that Tulse Hill JFC has been awarded the Tandridge League Sportsmanship Award!
At each match, every team has to award their opponents a score out of 10 for sportsmanship in three categories - for players, for club officials and for supporters. The League collates the points awarded to each club and works out an average score to rank clubs whose players, coaches, managers, referees and supporters have consistently displayed exemplary sportsmanship.
This means that everyone in our club has contributed towards us winning this. It truly embodies our values and every one of us should be immensely proud.
Well done Tulse Hill!!
U9 Royals Roll to Victory
June 27, 2021
It seemed a fitting way to end the 20/21 season with coach Rich isolating and having to cheer on via zoom, but it didn't prevent a very confident U9 Royals taking victory in their Tandridge League Plate Final. The win maintains Tulse Hill's 100% record this season in cup finals and the club couldn't be prouder of the team and coaches Rich and Francois.

Resumption of training!

Individual team coaches will be in touch with specific details for each team.
Update on training and safeguarding
May 27, 2020
We are all eagerly anticipating the resumption of football activities so we wanted to share the latest update from the FA with you.
Resumption of Training
We continue to follow advice from The FA that grassroots football is still not permitted.
There are also restrictions on informal football activity - see below for links to The FA guidance. We will update you when there is any significant news.
The Club and coaches have already discussed how we might resume training once allowed, with social distancing in mind whilst keeping everyone involved.
Depending on numbers, we may split the groups into two simultaneous sessions or run back to back sessions with half the group.
There are a number of options and practices, depending on advice and numbers, so we are confident that we can provide safe training sessions whilst continuing to follow The FA guidance.
We respect that everybody will of course make their own decision about when they feel it is the right time to return.
From The FA
“To ensure there is clarity, please note the following activity is not permitted at this time, consistent with Government guidelines:
coaching a child (U18) from a different household one-to-one. In order to comply with our safeguarding policy, a child must have a parent/carer with them, which doesn't comply with Government social distancing requirements:
two or more people from one household playing with one person or more from outside their household.” (London FA, 22/05/20)
This means that training is not permitted at this moment. Please see the recent FA guidance to all grassroots football.
The FA has also asked us to share with parents and coaches its new guidance relating to safeguarding which includes online tips for parents and carers.
We hope this information helps and we will do our best to keep you up to date as the situation progresses. In the meantime, feel free to contact us on: safeguardingtulsehilljfc@gmail.com
Take care and stay safe.
